Well my lovlies, I don't have a lot of layouts to show you this week - only three, as I have been working on several projects that I cannot show yet, but here we go. (Scroll down if you don't want to see my pages for some ultra puppy cuteness)!

First up is a page I made using the Silhouette Free Design Of The Week - this was a 6 x 4 postcard and stickers.

I enlarged the postcard, used a sketch pen in my Cameo to write a postcard to Gracia from Kiera and embellished the page with the stickers and some embellishments from the latest Mind The Scrap kit.

I added a small photo of the both of them in place of a stamp.

Next is my scraplift of Ann's page for the Scraplift Challenge over on the ATDML Facebook page.

I used Kaisercraft's Wandering Ivy for this page, writing the journaling with my Silhouette and using lots of the collectables to cluster around the photo of my two beautiful girls.

The third page I finished this week was one from a recent GoGo Dayaway event .

Now for the best bit - puppy overload!  So Gracia and Josh picked up their new puppy, Isla, yesterday and I don't think we have FaceTimed each other so much.  They are absolutely thrilled with her and she is so cute.  So I will leave you with a few photos.  BTW she has an Instagram account if you would like to follow her - isla.with.the.curls

Reasons to be Cheerful

1.  Lovely, thoughtful Mother's Day Gifts from Gracia and Josh
2.  Lots of exciting things on the horizon.
3. Lovely little Isla

Show & Tell Part 2 - 7th March 2018

Hello again, trying to catch up with my blog posts and bringing you the second part of this week's Show & Tell.

My first layout is one using a free font that was the Design Of The Week over on the Silhouette store a couple of weeks ago.  I used it to journal around the edge of the page using a black sketch pen.

Next is a page I made using the February Mind the Scrap kit and I used almost all of the puffy heart stickers.  It was so fortunate that Gracia posted to Instagram a photo of Her and josh and a love heart sweet - perfect for the puffy hearts.

I made the next one from a sketch on the Stick It Down blog using elements from a recent Mind The Scrap kit.

The Free Design Of The Week a couple of weeks ago was a pretty little flower so I used it on a handbag gift box and then used the same papers the following week to make a card, using the Silhouette Design Store free Design of The Week

Finally, I went to a GoGoDayaway event, which involved classes for 8 pages using sewing and paper piecing - I have managed to finish 4, almost finish 2 and have 2 yet to start!

Loved this event so much that I have signed up for another one in the Summer - well worth the money as the kit was the equalivent of almost the fee for participating in the two day event. See first photograph in first layout.  That was the kit, including the carrier to keep it tidy in.

Phew!  I feel that I have now caught up.  Hope you have a lovely rest of the week xxx

Reason to be cheerful:

David said that the best thing he has ever done was to marry me - got to love that boy of mine!

Show & Tell Monday - 5th March 2018

Hello, hello lovely blog friends.

I am not going to apologise for lack of posting as we all know - sometimes life gets in the way.  Consequently I have lots to show you and may have to schedule another post with some on for later in the week.  Don't want to be responsible for you suffering Karen Overload!

I will start with my February DT pages for ATDML.  I had the Kaisercraft Miss Betty and Romantique ranges to work with and I loved them both.

This was my favourite layout of the month was based on a sketch for my monthly Sketch Challenge over on ATDML facebook page. I love the picture, the sewing, the gems the flowers in fact everything about it.

I am quite partial to this one too - both made with Romatique which I think goes with almost any photo.

This was the final one made using Romantique.  I made my own string art template, on my Silhouette of course, and then it needed very little in the way of embellishment.  Just a few fussy cut flowers and butterflies and a little doily.  I am finding it impossible not to add doilies to my layouts at the moment.

The Miss Betty range is very girly and has a sewing theme running through it.  I challenged myself to make a masculine page with this predominantly feminine range.  This page was for my monthly Scraplift Challenge - again over on the ATDML Facebook page and this month I scraplifted one of Katherines pages.

Next up is my least favourite of the month - again I used a sketch and the free Design of The Week from the Silhouette store.  Love the papers but not so in love with what I did with them.

Finally, for today I have one I made using the patchwork paper.  I drew the faux stitching with my silhouette and cut out the individual hexagons.  I love my old Singer hand machine, a surprise Christmas present from David several years ago.  It was meant to be for show but once I discovered that it was in full working order it took over from my electric machine  for all my sewing needs.

Words to live by - March

'You Don't Get What You Wish For You Get What You Work For'

(seen on Mind The Scrap's Instagram feed),

Reasons to be Cheerful

1. Gracia and Josh get their fur baby on Saturday.
2  Have booked trains to visit them over Easter.
3. Finally saw the physio about my knee and we feel that although it will never be as good as it was 20 years ago there is a lot that can be done to reduce the pain and regain some of the activities that I cannot do at the moment.
