Exciting Times

Well lovely blog followers, I have two pieces of very exciting news this week, along with my bits and pieces to show you, which I will do in another post later.

Firstly, I was asked by Chrissy to join the Merly Impressions Design Team in February and yesterday my first official post went live.  I loved this range of papers, purple being my favourite colour and Chrissy is so generous with the kits she sends there may have been a couple of bits I paid for but mostly it is the DT kit.

I have made three layouts so far and will show you them as they get published.  You can read about the process of making this one on the Merely Impressions blog here

My second bit of exciting news is that I have been offered a spot on the UK Scrap Addicts dt.  I am thrilled to be working alongside such a talented group of ladies and we all want to promote UK scrapbooking so have a common goal.

So that's enough excitement for one blog post!

Reasons to be cheerful:

1.  Getting ready to spend a weekend crafting with my favourite, non family, people who are like family.

2.  Spending today making a little surprise, which I am excited about too - how much excitement can a girl take?

3.  Only working two days this week.

100 Days of Scrap Therapy

Hello, hello lovely blog followers.

Today, I have started a new project called 100 Days of Scrap Therapy - if you follow suse.fish on Instagram you will know what I am talking about.  Her introductory blog post .

So, hopefully, for 100 days I will add a page to my little A5 binder and achieve the goals I have written down.

I will post on Instagram when I have made a page and hopefully remember to post on here too.

My title page (apologies for the low light photos)

Laying on top of the little A5 binder I bought from The Range and filled with extra page inserts for my 100 pages.  I am scrapping on both sides of one sheet of A5 cardstock to reduce the bulk.  Also, shock horror, I won't be able to use foam pads as I need to keep the bulk down.  I also made some sheets to practice my handwriting on.  One of my 100 day goals is to improve my handwriting.  I often use my Silhouette to write and my favourite font is called Hello Sunshine.  So I type what I want to write in this font and practice on the sheets.  At the moment I cut these into journaling strips to add to my pages but am hoping that by the end of the project I will be happy enough to write straight onto my pages.

My mission statement

and my first page featuring the supplies I treated myself to to make a start.

Reasons to be cheerful:

1.  I have just had a fantastic weekend with Gracia, Josh and Isla.

2. Loving crafting on my day off.

3.  Making a good start on this little project.
